Aaaah! Success

Good song. You can really pull this Dubstep trend off. 70 Percent of them music I listen to is electronic, and even I don't think I could pull off a Dubstep song so cleanly by ear. So anyway. The best part I guess would be the drums. All your other instruments are well picked and they are also well done in the song. Only thing is, what program do you use? I'm not sure I liked the tone of the program in general, but even then, you got dubstep genre down, so I'm sure you can other styles of Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and Luke Vibert.

i use fl stuido 8:THE GOLDEN STANDARD FOR ALL MUSICAL PRODUCTION, and the drums after the drop was actually a loop i downloaded :3

Good Job

I always judge music from a instrumental standpoint, and in this aspect, the instruments in your song are perfectly in sync with your singing, and would sound good even if you weren't rapping over them. Like I said, I'm an instrumentals person, so I can't really comment on any singing, or rapping even. But it sounded great to me. Your editing really is amazing. Your voice is the perfect volume. Nothing is too loud. Well done, man.

In conclusion, it sounds very professional. You are far better then me at music making. It sounds like you've making music awhile.

GloineFiodh responds:

well i didn't make the beat, just sung and wrote the lyrics. thanks for the review man.

It's a beautiful piece. Albeit i'm stoned.

My only advise is start using a better program like Reason.

I hate it when I show people my music and they're like "sounds like video game music." I just feel like this song is what videogame music should sound like. A song like this with exactly the same instruments would make Pokemon much more enjoyable

loansindi responds:

I only dabble in electronic music, and $400 for reason is not dabble friendly.

Thanks for the review though.

Its cool.

Feels a bit halloweeny. Or maybe it's just because it sounds creepy. Its a interesting composition although I don't know what suits this other then backround music for an RPG. I don't think there's much market for uh... medieval sounding. But it's cool that you're experimenting with electronic sounds.

The program you're using seems weak though. I would try to get my hands on Reason. It has plenty of samples for jazz and classical and what not. You can also create your own sounds if you're into techno. If you have a good sound card its a really good sounding piece of software.

Joel-Marler responds:

haha, medieval - I never thought it sounded like that :P Yeah, i'm using sibelius (which doesnt come with any samples) but if going to get a $2000 composing program once i get a good sound card.

Drum n Bass eh?

Could be more dynamic. If this is just the idea for a song then you got me, but otherwise it could use some change ups. Just something to remind people that there is a person in control behind there.

Tzunami responds:

It's actually breakbeat, but I was just experimenting in general with this.

This 9 review should complement the 1 review below. This is pretty insane stuff. Only suggestion is that the song should continue after 3:13. That last bit doesn't sound like an outro, but more like its getting ready to start over. You could definitely make things more interesting by adding a third instrument, although it's a handful already. Keep up the good work.

Cutting-Christ responds:

Thank you. I was actually at my friends house, so I didn't have a lot of my resources. I was just bored. I'll probably make another song in this style, and it will probably be more complex. (more instruments) ^_^

maybe i'm biased

Technically it is good.

So i'm just going to spit my opinion. I didn't like it much because of the jumpy rhythm. You might want to start out real slow just to contrast the exciteable parts. I did enjoy the part at 1:00 and the end bit.

The guitar bit (at 0:36) is cool but I find the choice of instruments to be fruity. Maybe you should put distortion on the drums, or make some of it more bad ass.

Like I said, I'm opinionated so this is mainly a matter of taste.

DreamEater responds:

well thanks for the review but i hardly feel i deserve a score as low as 3 =-=;
thanks for listening anyways

Ow my ear

Hey that's cool except for the uneven volume change thing in 1:30. You should warn people about that.

What this song needs is the lead singer from Creed.

DJ-Ultimize responds:

Where it changed to distortion? That seems like a good idea to warn people. Thanks for the review!

Laid back.

I like what's going on past 1:49. It's kind of intense. Not my kind of groove, but the idea is good. I'd funk it up a bit, jazz up a few parts but that's just me and my taste.

wyldfyre1 responds:

yeah, it is kinda alaid back groove haha.. i may add some more.. its still a work in progress so =) thanks for the post!

Cheeky

This makes me want to chug cough medicine.

wyldfyre1 responds:

haha i don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing! haha but its a COOL THING! thanks man!
