Could use a hip hop beat. Hip hop beats make anything sound better.

This 9 review should complement the 1 review below. This is pretty insane stuff. Only suggestion is that the song should continue after 3:13. That last bit doesn't sound like an outro, but more like its getting ready to start over. You could definitely make things more interesting by adding a third instrument, although it's a handful already. Keep up the good work.

Author's Response:

Thank you. I was actually at my friends house, so I didn't have a lot of my resources. I was just bored. I'll probably make another song in this style, and it will probably be more complex. (more instruments) ^_^

"Good stuff."

date: June 18, 2008

Love the intro, and i love the end. Love how it develops into the end. This song has a powerful theme going for it. I can easily make up a story as this song goes along.

Critic: the intro drags on a bit and seems to not go anywhere. The end is awesome and probably the best part. The whole song is there so i suggest editing, adding, cutting, or moving around something. There might be some excessive bars or something. Or not.

The Flame Revolution

"maybe i'm biased"

date: February 27, 2008

Technically it is good.

So i'm just going to spit my opinion. I didn't like it much because of the jumpy rhythm. You might want to start out real slow just to contrast the exciteable parts. I did enjoy the part at 1:00 and the end bit.

The guitar bit (at 0:36) is cool but I find the choice of instruments to be fruity. Maybe you should put distortion on the drums, or make some of it more bad ass.

Like I said, I'm opinionated so this is mainly a matter of taste.

"Groovy shit"

submission: islandism
date: December 24, 2007

One thing though,
At a certain point it seems like the drums aren't listening to the guitar. Maybe at that point you should cease the snare or something and just have the drums keep the tempo.

Otherwise keep doin what you're doin.

A Night on the Town

"Yeah..."

date: December 18, 2007

Seems more like a layout of a jazz song to me. If you stretch the first riff out quite a bit, and create a third instrument to solo over everything you should be in business.

It's quite good but too short, way too short. Jazz songs are like 8 minutes. Multiply each section's lengths by 4 and have something solo over it and you'll totaly deserve another couple points.

3 Man concert

"Good good good good good"

submission: 3 Man concert

It's a groovy classical piece, just keep in mind what's going on, and what sounds good without what. I thought the piano at the end sounds good by itself, and then the strings came in and ended that atmosphere.

Just my two cents.

Yup. That's groovy. Only complaint is it kinda gets out of tempo at the end. Also the title is a mouthful.

"Ow my ear"

submission: Deep Down
date: November 28, 2007

Hey that's cool except for the uneven volume change thing in 1:30. You should warn people about that.

What this song needs is the lead singer from Creed.

Author's Response:

Where it changed to distortion? That seems like a good idea to warn people. Thanks for the review!
